Description
In the Arizona Unit Study, students will enjoy learning about the state of Arizona. This web-based unit study covers state basics like symbols, flag, mottos, major cities, and geography. It also covers the history of the state from before it became a state to the present, as well as some really fun things like food and National Parks, plus a whole lot more! It engages students with videos, games, interactive websites, and fun projects as they learn about the state and its people. There is even an Arizona Breakout Room!
The four modules will cover the following topics:
Module 1: Overview: symbols, nicknames, mottos, major cities
Module 2: History: Pre-statehood to the present
Module 3: Geography and Climate: Regions, nature, wildlife, agriculture
Module 4: Culture and Tourism: Food, National Parks, Famous Arizonans
Recommended age: 4th-8th grade
