This 4-module online Intro to AI unit study is designed for 6th–12th grade students to explore the basics of AI through interactive websites, videos, games, and creative projects. It’s perfect for homeschoolers or any teen curious about the technology shaping their world.

Module 1: What is AI + AI History

• Learn what AI is and how it started

• Explore machine learning, neural networks, and the Turing Test

• Train your own mini AI

Module 2: Ethics and the Impact of AI

• Examine real-world ethical concerns: bias, privacy, responsibility

• Consider the ways students should NOT be using AI and why

Module 3: Hands-on With AI Tools

• Experiment with LLMs and compare tools

• Learn how to create graphics with AI t

• Use study tools

• Create music

Module 4: The Future of AI and You

• Explore how AI is shaping jobs and everyday life

• Learn how AI is likely to develop over time

• Imagine how your dream job might be changed by AI

How the Unit Study classes work:

1. You purchase access to the AI unit study. This access is good for all the children in one family. Intended age range is from 6th – 12th grade.
2. The parent signs into the unit study classroom with the link provided in the confirmation email – or gives the link to each child to gain their own access.
3. There are 4 modules. These are designed so that you can do one a week. But you can spread each one over 2 weeks. Or do all 4 in one week. It’s your call! You have lifetime access
4. Assignments aren’t graded, but we do provide answers wherever needed.
5. You have lifetime access.
