I liked researching all the different art movements and learning about the artists. It was fun learning about artists whose works I have seen in museums. The textbook was a good starting point for the research required to complete the assignments, and any time I had questions about assignments Ms. Egan responded quickly. The assignments were very time consuming but I learned a lot.

I enjoyed this class. I didn’t realize that it was from Impressionism to present day art, and if I had known, I probably wouldn’t have taken the class. Ms. Egan responded quickly when I had questions and really helped me figure out how to get ahead on assignments before I went on a trip. I liked the text book that we used in class. I thought that it was a nice brief intro to art history, but didn’t leave out any important information. It took me a lot more than 3-4 hours a week to do all the assignments, it took at least 9-10 hours (maybe 3-4 hours for the first couple of weeks). If you like modern and contemporary art, I would recommend this course to you.

From Miss Holly: I’m sorry you didn’t realize that the class covered Impressionism to present day art. The class description does clearly state that it will cover that time period in art history. I do wish you had communicated with me that assignments were taking you that long each week, as they weren’t designed to take that much time. I certainly would have worked with you to figure out why they were taking you so much longer than intended. I want all my students to enjoy the class, and learn while having a bit of fun. And, I do respond to any messages quickly, and want to work with my students to make my class enjoyable while also being educational. I really loved having you in class as a student, but I do wish you had communicated some of this to me during the semester so I could have known and addressed this all with you. Thanks for your feedback!
