Description

Explore the history of one of the most recognizable dance forms through videos, games, and fun activities like designing a tutu or making a Facebook profile for your favorite dancer. Module 2 – Notable Choreographers and their Ballets
Module 3 – Famous Dancers
Module 4 – Ballet Today

This unit study is self-paced.

How this will work:

You purchase access to the unit study. This access is good for your whole family. The intended age range is from 6th – 8th grade, but you can turn it into a 1/2 credit for high schoolers. Information on what to add in is in the virtual classroom.

There are 4 modules. These are designed so that you can do one a week. But you can spread each one over 2 weeks. Or do all 4 in one week. It’s your call!  You have lifetime access so no hurry!

Parents can get their children to do as many of the assignments in each module as they wish. There will be a variety to cater to all learning styles.

Assignments aren’t graded but we do provide answers wherever needed.

Grades: 6th – 12th

This unit study on the history of ballet was fun and informative. There is a mix of videos, articles, interactive games, and activities. I take ballet dance classes, so it was helpful and intriguing for me to learn about the history of ballet, especially how styles of ballet vary in different countries and cultures. I also enjoyed learning about the choreographers and dancers that influenced the world of ballet.
