In the Exploring States of Matter Mini Unit Study, students will have fun learning about the three basic states of matter: solid, liquid, and gas.

This web-based mini unit study covers the basics on the states of matter and provides fun and interesting experiments for students to see the states of matter in action. This one module mini unit study engages students with videos, games, interactive websites, and fun projects as they learn about the states of matter.

A mini unit study is just one module and will take students approximately one week to complete, but as you have lifetime access, you can take as long as you want!

Middle School Anatomy

Middle School Anatomy is a self-paced class that contains all 7 of our Anatomy Unit Studies covering the circulatory, respiratory, nervous, skeletal, muscular, digestive, and integumentary systems PLUS an additional module that you cannot buy individually that covers the smaller systems. Together they make up a full year of Anatomy studies.

Each unit study is individually worth $20, making it $140 to purchase all 7, so by purchasing the full course, you will save $40 in addition to receiving a bonus unit study worth $20.

In total there are 32 modules so if students do one a week, this will take them one year to complete. Students can, however, take as long as they want and all students in a family can use it.

Activities include watching videos, reading articles, playing games, and completing interesting projects. The projects will allow students to research topics and then present their research in a digital format–a poster, video, slideshow, etc.

You only need ONE per family! All family members can log in individually or you can go through it together as a family. But you only need to pay ONCE!

Any answer keys that are necessary are provided in the online classroom.

For: Grades 5-8

Hours: The course is self-paced, so students do not have to meet deadlines and can take as long as needed to complete this course. If planning to complete in one year, expect to allow about 2-3 hours per week on average.

Exploring Science Unit Study

In the Exploring Science Unit Study, we will take an introductory tour of four areas of science: biology, earth science, chemistry, and physics. Some topics will include famous scientists, the scientific method, independent/dependent variables, lab equipment, and sample experiments for each of the four areas of science. Students can work through all the assignments in each module – or just the ones they choose (or parents assign).

The four modules will cover the following topics:

Module 1 – Intro to Science
Module 2 – Intro to the Lab
Module 3 – Intro to Biology and Earth Science
Module 4 – Intro to Chemistry and Physics

Activities will include reading articles, watching videos, playing games/quizzes, doing hands-on activities, and completing engaging projects. The module projects will allow students to explore topics in more depth through research and experiments. Students will present their project in a digital format–a poster, video, picture, slideshow, etc.

The content in this Exploring Science Unit Study varies in difficulty so there’s something for everyone! The fun games and interesting facts make it appealing to a variety of ages. This unit study is self-paced. Most of the activities are done online, although there are a few things to do offline (e.g. science experiments).

Investigating the Integumentary
