Spanish 2 consists of Fall and Spring semesters. You can purchase both at the beginning of the year or come back at the end of the year to purchase the Spring semester.

Description

** This is a full year high school level Spanish 2 class. Both semesters must be completed to receive credit. **

Students will continue to study Spanish grammar and will do many more conversation exercises. Cultural aspects will be further discussed. My goal is that by the end of this course, students will have reviewed present tense and also learned imperfect, preterite, future, conditional and perfect tenses. Other topics that will be covered are direct and indirect object pronouns, possessive pronouns, negatives and others, as well as, review reflexive verbs, commands, questions, comparisons and others.

To achieve conversation practice, students will have regular one hour online discussions with course-mates and instructor. Students must attend at least 10 of these each semester and can choose from a few times on Tuesdays or Wednesdays. Students will need a webcam to be able to participate.

This will be a two-semester course with 16 weeks per semester. To enhance their experience with the language, students will be required to choose from a few projects like reading children’s books, watching movies in Spanish, taking a Latin dance lesson, making a comic strip, and much more. The students who live in the Knoxville area or surroundings will also have the option of joining my Spanish club, which is not online, where they can practice learned skills without pressure/grades.

  1. EJ Sullivan

I have really enjoyed this class. It has taught me more than any other program for learning any language that i have ever done. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to learn Spanish

  2. Grayson

Very educational, it helped me to learn Spanish better than I ever have before. Also very enjoyable.

  3. MacKenzie Byrd

Wonderful class with excellent teachers and TA’s. You learn more complex verb tenses and conversations can get much more detailed. If you took Spanish I hear, I definitely recommend Spanish II.

Note, however, that the workload increases considerably from Spanish I. It’s worth it for the better conversational skills, but you have to be willing to put in the time and effort.

  4. Amber

This class helps you learn some great ideas in Spanish, and the teacher is nice. But it includes a tremendous amount of homework.

  5. Audrey

I like this class, except, I thought there was too much assigned, and also I think that if I was around the language more, and heard it spoken more, it would have helped me learn the language a little bit better. This class was great for learning verb tenses, and conjugation, as well as learning about the culture.

  6. Joshua Gregg

This isn’t merely a study of the Spanish language; it is a detailed study of the cultures of Mexico and Spain. The language and the cultural lessons go hand in hand and this course blends the two together seamlessly. Miss Suzzette is an excellent teacher who engages with her students and helps them in any way that she can. This is one of the best Spanish classes on the market

  7. Isabella

Spanish II is certainly a step up from from Spanish I. Complex verb tenses, a wide variety of new vocabulary, and fascinating people of Mexican heritage were all covered in this class. Mrs. Suzette taught us all this and more in a comprehensible manner, having the more difficult material come up again throughout the year to make sure we fully understood. She taught me so many things that I will be able to use in a real-world application.

  8. Abigail Hendrick

Mrs. Suzette is such an awesome teacher; she has the perfect balance of being patient yet realistic, and fun while still making sure you’re learning and comprehending the lessons. I would highly recommend taking this class, especially if you want to become fluent in Spanish!

  9. Talbott Siovaila

Again I loved taking Spanish two and I’m glad I’ve made it this far at least 5 years of Spanish with the teacher I’ve learned so much and I’m happy I did.

  10. Aedan Berkheimer

I loved taking Spanish2. The information is very thorough on both the culture and the language. I felt that I could make entire sentences with ease after taking this class. Mrs. Suzette is a great teacher, who has a ton of patience. This class was fantastic and I can’t wait to take Spanish 3 next year.

  11. Katie Hall

This is an amazing Spanish 2 class!
I took Spanish 1 with Ms. Suzette and really noticed how much we built on the basics to create actual, complex conversations. I learned over five new tenses, applicable vocabulary, and lots about fascinating Hispanic cultures. The class work is clearly and diligently laid out, so it’s simple to keep up with the work and be prepared for the final. But above all, Ms. Suzette is the best teacher I’ve had. She truly cares about making sure we learn a lot and is always there for us.

  12. Carson

Absolutely awesome class, I had so much fun and learned more than I ever would have imagined!! Thanks soooo much Mrs. Suzette and Mrs. Claudia!! I love you both

  13. Lauren Barton

The difference between FundaFunda’s Spanish 1 and Spanish 2 is significant. If you bought Spanish 1 last year, then Spanish 2 is a must! In this class, you will learn more about verb tenses, more vocabulary, and more pertaining to the cultural aspects of Spanish-speaking countries. I definitely recommend taking this class.

  14. Leon Rapoport

I liked this class a lot!
It’s a really large step up from Spanish 1. Before this class, I only knew a few things in the Spanish language (such as the greetings and simple sentences), but after this class, I am much more proficient at the language and know much more vocabulary and many more verb tenses.
Although I definitely recommend taking this class, I will warn you, this class has a lot of work, and it will be nearly impossible to succeed unless you’re willing to work around 1.5 hours a day.
Overall, interesting class and lots to learn!

  15. Jane Hosenfeld

This class was hard, but it was so worth it! I learned about everything from verb tenses to culture. Before this class I was not able to have much of a conversation in Spanish and I had trouble forming sentences. However, after Spanish 2 with Ms. Suzette I can form sentences very easily and my Spanish speaking skills have gotten much better. I definitely recommend this class for people looking to become fluent in Spanish.

  16. abby wilkins

I have been taking Spanish since the seventh grade to high school. Spanish 2 really goes into detail of the grammar of Spanish, which helps in knowing what you are talking about. It is a fun class especially of you have been taking it with the same people for years now. Spanish club is a MUST. The homework load is a lot but as long as you don’t let it sit until the nights its due you’ll be fine just remember to pace yourself!!

  17. Chance Jones

I have been taking Spanish for quite some time, and this class has by far been the most helpful. I learned so much and really feel like I can carry a conversation in Spanish now (for the most part.) I learned so many new verb tenses and a new mood, and overall had a very good time!

  18. Anika Schultz

I’ve taken both Spanish 1 & 2 from Mrs. Suzette, and she has been my favorite teacher both years. I have loved our in-class time, and she, as the teacher, keeps the class fun (we play games), interesting, and very helpful. During class is when we get to solidify what we’ve spent all week learning. The work load is not for the weak… it’s intense and there are quizzes every week. However, Mrs. Suzette does no less than what we pay her to do and what the school law requires. If you work hard and study, it’s easy to get a good grade and pass the final exam. Plus, Mrs. Suzette gives free tutoring for all her students! I highly highly recommend this class. Not only do you learn the language thoroughly, but you’re introduced to the Spanish-speaking culture!

  19. Paul Cooke

One of the most challenging and fun classes that I have ever had the pleasure of taking. Never in a million years did I think that I would be legitimately invested in a foreign language class, and yet, here I am! This class is definitely not for those who are just trying to get a credit. This is for people who want to learn, I repeat, learn a language. The cultural aspect of this class is also amazing, I’ve discovered so much about multiple different Spanish-speaking countries. Mrs. Suzette is an absolutely amazing teacher, one of the best I’ve ever had. She’s very responsive and is always willing to help students out with problems. The workload can seem like a lot sometimes, but it’s totally worth it for the end results. And in all honesty, I never felt completely overwhelmed by the homework. I’d recommend this class to both anybody who wants to become skilled at Spanish, and to anybody who is simply interested in the idea of trying out a new language.
(One last thing, don’t miss out on Spanish club, it’s freaking amazing)
    -Peace and love

  20. Andrew

I like the teacher and the class is sometimes fun, but it has more homework than any of my other high school classes, such as Chemistry or Algebra. However, if you do the massive workload then you will learn a lot.

  21. Cristian Quinata

This was an Amazing class, it was consistently challenging in a fun and educational manner. It must be noted that this is a very engaging course with no room for messing around, good grades come with hard work. I can say without a doubt it is one of the best Spanish courses that I’ve ever taken.

  22. Micah

Great class. I love the teacher and she always gives out challenging work that pushes me to the limit. I really recommend this class for people that are highly interested in learning Spanish. The Spanish she teaches is more in depth then some colleges’ Spanish 2 level. So if you really want to learn Spanish, this is where you need to go.

  23. Lexi Carroll

Because this class is not super easy, I recommend it to anyone who is willing to put in hard work. I learned so many things in this class like a lot of new verb tenses, new vocab, conversation skills, and things about Hispanic culture. I can now speak in a much higher level of Spanish than I could this time last year. Mrs. Suzette is a great teacher, and she teaches the language at a great pace to learn well.

  24. Lexanne Halama

This class takes a lot of commitment both in time and effort, but it really pays off. I learned so much, including useful, everyday vocabulary and multiple verb conjugations, so now, I can speak in past, present, future, and express thoughts in Spanish, whereas last year, I could only speak in the present with basic responses. I highly recommend this class.

  25. Eli Ferguson

This class is extremely in-depth and covers all aspects of the Hispanosphere’s various cultures- from the language itself, to famous Hispanic artists, to cultural holidays and festivals. This class is extremely rewarding, and I highly recommend it.

  26. Faith

This was a very fun class. Lots of useful information was taught

  27. Jacob Page

Before I could only engage in conversations with Gracias, Hola, and Como Estas, but now I could hold a conversation for a while and be able to understand more Spanish next time I visit Mexico!

  28. Bryson LeMarr

This class is not for someone who wants an easy slacking class, But if you want to learn this is the place to be. I have learned a ton of Spanish and also about the culture in addition to the language, it’s a wonderful class and Mrs. Suzette really knows what she’s doing.

  29. Skylar McKellar

An enjoyable class that not only talks about basic conversation skills, but also culture.

  30. Karla Nichols

I really enjoyed this class. My Spanish improved by leaps and bounds. I anticipate using everything I learned reguarly.
